Choosing your Leaving Certificate subjects is an important stage in your daughter’s school journey. Before submitting preferences on the Tyro app, we strongly encourage both students and parents to read the Subject Choice Information Booklet, which outlines all available subjects and provides helpful guidance about each option.

It is important that students take great care when expressing their preferences. Every effort will be made to assign students as many of their top preferences as possible.
All students take Irish, English and Maths.
A Modern Foreign Language is strongly recommended.
How to Enter Subject Options
Parents will receive a notification through the Tyro app when subject options become available and when the deadline for submitting preferences has been set.
Once the deadline has passed, the Tyro software optimiser will use these preferences to generate subject option lines and will aim to achieve the best possible outcome for the greatest number of students.
